The Fox Haverford Project
This 2004 Kitchen of the Year takes its cues from the Federal-style home in the Wynnewood, Pennsylvania that houses it. Optimized to entertain both visually and functionally, the 360-square foot remodel juxtaposes American cherry cabinets by Crystal Cabinet Works with black distressed wood elements, such as a hand-built mantelpiece and cooking area, an armoire for a Sub-Zero refrigerator and ceiling beams. Enkeboll molding and decorative details reference the home’s architecture, while appliances by Wolf, KitchenAid, Asko, and Best ensure all parties go off without a hitch.
